I must begin my first news page with a special thanks to all the people who were instrumental in bringing me out of musical retirement and for lending their support along the way.
To my wonderful wife, Jane, much love and special thanks for her many sacrifices and tireless efforts in making certain I had adequate practice time available.
To Lisa Fudge-Schustik, a wonderful photographer, musician, friend, and keeper of "all things folk", who is responsible for my photos and PR material, and is quick to share a little professional criticism.
To Scott Pittman, for his sheer will in forcibly getting me to perform once again and to his wife, Judith, for putting up with both of us.
To Richard Gilewitz, a master guitarist, who shared his talent, time, humor, and words of wisdom. Rock on, Richard. To Holli (the-soon-to-be) Kliethermes, the webmaster of this site, who graciously offered to spend an infinite number of hours staring at a computer screen so you could read this page and share a part of my life, and to her fiancée, Tim, for his support of us both.
To Daney Jelley, Stir the Soul's coffee master extraordinaire, for his positive words of support and for providing a venue for me to "get it together".
To my children Robert, David, Jamark, and Alysia for decades of encouragement, inspiration, and support.
To all my family members, who have given me more love and kindness than I deserve.
To Amy, George, Bill, Kate, Chris, Lynn, and all my co-workers at IMG for their friendship, enthusiasm, and recommendations.
Performing on the main stage at the 2005 Florida Folk Festival was an exhilarating experience for someone who had not performed in 15 years. Attendance was excellent, as Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller, and Vassar Clements were the weekend headliners. Performing at the wide variety of venues on the festival grounds was an exciting challenge for all of the entertainers. I enjoyed meeting and hearing such a wide array of musical artists.
